Stoneridge Equestrians
Boarding

Stoneridge Equestrians is a full-care boarding facility with the following amenities:

  • Three arenas:
    • Outdoor arena (approximately 100 by 150 feet)
    • Small indoor arena (approximately 40 by 60 feet)
    • Large indoor arena (approximately 60 by 120 feet)
  • Stalls
    • Cleaned seven (7) days a week
    • Have mats, lights, and windows
    • Tack lockers available for individuals
  • Turn out
    • Daily turn out six (6) days a week (Sunday through Friday), weather permitting
    • Owner can turn horse out and bring in on Saturdays, space permitting
    • Horses will not be turned out in heavy rain or snow or on frozen ground
    • One (1) blanket and/or fly mask change per day
    • Horse's legs will be hosed off after turn out if muddy
  • Feed three (3) times a day includes:
    • Four (4) flakes of hay
    • Five (5) pounds of dry beet pulp (soaked) and grain
  • Grains offered:
    • Whole oats
    • Enhance 12-22
    • If owner provides a different grain, we will feed it
    • Up to three (3) additional owner supplied supplements can be added without charge (e.g., vitamins, minerals, joint supplement)
  • Water buckets rinsed daily and bleached at least weekly
  • Scheduling of veterinary and farrier services
    (We use Dr. Robert DeWard of Mt. Rainier Equine and Dan Vivolo but your vet and farrier are welcome.)
  • Trailer storage available for a monthly fee
  • 24-hour on-site residence

COSTS:

Board:
$450.00 per month (includes all of the above but please see the boarding agreement for full details)

Training:
$35.00 per session or $30.00 per session if paying for five or more

Miscellaneous Fees:
Service Fee
Two (2) extra flakes of hay per day $40.00 per month
One (1) extra scoop of grain/beet pulp per day $15.00 per month
More than three (3) supplements per day (owner must provide) $5.00 per month
Medications added to feed (no charge for the first two days) $5.00 per day
Administer medications (oral or topical) $5.00 per day and up
Soak horse's foot for 10 to 15 minutes $20.00
Fill soak boot $5.00
Wrap leg(s) $5.00
Hold horse for vet or shoer $20.00
Hand walk an injured horse for 15 to 20 minutes $20.00
Cold hose horse's leg(s) (injured or preventative) for 15 to 20 minutes $20.00
Body clip $125.00 and up
Trace clip $75.00 and up
Mane pull $35.00 and up

NOTES:

  • Board is due on the 1st with a grace period until the 3rd.
  • Each day board is late, there is a $10.00 per day late fee.
  • Board is charged the day the horse arrives and the day the horse leaves.
  • NSF check charge is $35.00.
  • A signed boarding agreement and the first month's rent is required when the horse arrives.
  • Past due accounts will be charged 1.5% interest per month with a minimum billing fee of $25.00.
  • If board is paid after the 3rd for three (3) consecutive months, monthly board will increase by $25.00 per month.
  • Any damage to equipment, stall, and facilities will be billed to the owner of the responsible horse.
  • Surcharge:
    If difficulty and expense in obtaining supplies (hay, feed, shavings) is experienced, a surcharge in the amount of the extra cost to Stoneridge Equestrians may be added to your board bill based on the amount your horse eats or with shavings divided between horses in the barn. There is no additional fee at this time.
  • Departures:
    Notice must be given in writing thirty (30) days before departure or you will be charged for the month. Bills must be paid with cash or money order before the horse leaves the barn.
While every effort is made to keep this web site up to date, in the event of any discrepancy, the signed boarding agreement shall take precedence. This information is based on the July 1, 2008 Boarding Rate Sheet.
